Eres Tu
Eres Tu
Artist: Mocedades
Como una promesa, eres tu, eres tu,
como una manana de verano,
como una sonrisa, eres tu, eres tu,
asi, asi, eres tu
Toda mi esperanza, eres tu, eres tu,
como lluvia fresca, en mis manos,
como fuerte brisan, eres tu, eres tu,
asi, asi, eres tu
[Translation:]
Like a promise, it is you, it is you
Just like a morning, in the summer
And just like a smile, it is you, it is you
Oh yes, oh yes, it is you
All of my dreams, it is you, it is you
Just like the fresh rain, in my hands
Just like strong breeze, it is you, it is you
Oh yes, oh yes, it is you
It is you, the water of my fountain
It is you, the fire of my home
It is you, the water of my fountain
It is you, the fire of my home
And just like a poem, it is you, it is you
Just like a guitar, in the evening
Like the great grand horizon, it is you, it is you
Oh yes, oh yes, it is you

I love this song. But, I can't help but think of David Spade and Chris Farley singing it in Tommy Boy
I have to watch Tommy Boy again. I very vaguely remember something like that, but being that I really don't, I'll have to re-watch it. I may like their version even better than Mocedades!
Ive never heard this song before, but the melody sounds like a knock off version of a church hymn hehe. Lovely words though.
Now that you mention it, the melody does have some of the structure of a hymn. Maybe they did do a little borrowing there! Hmmmmm...or should I say, hymnnnnn.......p:
it's the part when they are in the car and the deer is in the back and they think that it is dead, but it isn't
cracks my shit up
somehow I have a vision of my parents singing this song maaaaany years ago. I haven't heard it in years. I think my father was playing the piano. real estate prices plummet on memory lane.
