Heart Of Gold

Heart Of Gold
Neil Young

I want to live,
I want to give
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold
It's these expressions
I never give
That keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old
Keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old

I've been to Hollywood
I've been to Redwood
I crossed the ocean
for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind,
it's such a fine line
That keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old
Keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old

Keep me searching
for a heart of gold
You keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold

Hi Aneesa; that is a 1970's classic rock song, that I'd bet almost every one here in the U.S. would recognize. It has a real nice melody to it also. I think that Neil Young (of the supergroup CSNY - Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young) did finally find that heart of gold, as far as I know!

I've never heard that song either (until right now, as I'm listening to it), or perhaps I've heard it, and did not recognize it? Nah, I dont think so.
There isn't music like this anymore is there? Maybe someone makes music like this- I dont listen to the radio enough to know hehe.

That's a simple, but very ingrained (at least for me) song, that, after you hear it a few times, you'll never forget it. They don't really make songs like this much anymore, Willowtree; there's not much musicianship or nice writing, it's mostly corporate driven now and made by computer. I heard this one while doing some work at school the other day, and remembered how much I've always liked it.
