Angels

David Archuleta sang this song on American Idol this week (available on Itunes), and I really liked it, although it was a little difficult to understand some of the words. Well here are the words, from a song that apparently was originally sung by British pop superstar Robbie Williams.

I sit and wait
Does an angel contemplate my fate
And do they know
The places where we go
When we’re grey and old
‘cause I have been told
That salvation lets their wings unfold
So when I’m lying in my bed
Thoughts running through my head
And I feel that love is dead
I’m loving angels instead

And through it all she offers me protection
A lot of love and affection
Whether I’m right or wrong
And down the waterfall
Wherever it may take me
I know that life won’t break me
When I come to call she won’t forsake me
I’m loving angels instead

When I’m feeling weak
And my pain walks down a one way street
I look above
And I know I’ll always be blessed with love
And as the feeling grows
She breathes flesh to my bones
And when love is dead
I’m loving angels instead

And through it all
she offers me protection
A lot of love and affection
Whether I’m right or wrong
And down the waterfall
Wherever it may take me
I know that life won’t break me
When I come to call she won’t forsake me
I’m loving angels instead

And through it all
she offers me protection
A lot of love and affection
Whether I’m right or wrong
And down the waterfall
Wherever it may take me
I know that life won’t break me
When I come to call she won’t forsake me
I’m loving angels instead

Glad you've heard this one, and like it, GC. I'd never heard it until American Idol, but that little David Archuleta can really belt out a song!

I love this song, one of my friends let me hear it last year, and it has been in my itunes ever since. It really fit david archuleta's voice very well. I was glad it was introduced to the american public by him, but robbie william's version will always be my fave hehe.

I think that David Archuleta is a lot like Barack Obama; let's just cut out all of this mess, and crown them both the victor, immediately!!

Awh, GC miss me!

Just have been busy working, with not much PC access during the day, and then being too tired after work to post. But I will think of something today to post tonight or for the weekend!
