For Every Haditha...

For every soldier who particpated at Haditha, I think there are 1000 servicemen, like this one, who probably could not even conceive of taking part in what happened there. I've wanted to say something directly on that foresaken place, but I find that I simply cannot.

Haditha is what war is about. It is what happens when you choose to commit war, unjustly, upon innocent people. We, Americans, all share a role in what happened at Haditha. Do something about it. Restore this country back to the one that has always abhorred such things. No more My Lais, no more Hadithas.

It makes you wonder juse how many more Hadithas have taken/and or taking place right now.
I dont get it, who does America answer to? Since many feel that America is 'world cop'. Who is policing America?

...I cant bring myself to put 'we' even though I was born and raised here, and I did have "they", but I just put America instead.

What is the something we should do about it? It seems so many people are unhappy with this president, this government, this war, but nothing is changing at all. This is a democracy, but...it doesnt seem to listen to the people- well the regular people, the poor people. These things shut me down, so much so Im not sure what that something is that Im supposed to do anymore, I dont know what helps.

I'm sure a lot more Hadithas have taken place; more than we'll ever know, in these types of situations.

What we can do is just talk to friends, and others. Ask them do you agree with all of this, or not? Register those not registered to vote (libraries, post offices, election offices, download forms, etc.)
This is a democracy, but it has become one-sided. The checks and balances of our democracy don't exist now because of this. The November elections are probably our last hope to elect govts. and judges at all levels that will began to investigate the corruption and crime of the last several years. Check into things like MoveOn.org

And why is Haliburton building "concentration", or holding camps, for people, INSIDE of this country? Check into that; another thing that says, yes, we have to change this current state of affairs, and very soon, while we still can.
